Meet Jaime Coffre
Jaime Coffre
Attorney at Law · 16+ Years of Experience
Jaime Coffre holds a Law and Political Science degree from Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) and a Master's degree in Maritime Sector Development with emphasis in Ports and Canals from the Universidad de Panamá.
His legal training spans multiple disciplines, including Procedural Law, the Accusatory Criminal System, Anti-Money Laundering in Free Trade Zones, and Counter-Terrorism Law.
Jaime is a recognized specialist in Horizontal Property Law, providing ongoing legal support to multiple condominium administrations and residential developers throughout Panama.
Prior to founding COFFRE & COFFRE, Jaime collaborated with leading private law firms at the national level, building extensive experience in real estate transactions — including purchase and sale agreements, lease contracts, and property donations; civil law — encompassing testate and intestate succession, will preparation, general and special powers of attorney, and medical powers of attorney; corporate and mercantile law — covering the formation of Sociedad Anónima (S.A.) corporations, Private Interest Foundations, and corporate governance; and immigration law — guiding foreign nationals through permanent residency processes including the Pensionado Visa, Friendly Nations Visa, Self-Sufficient Visa (Solvencia Propia), and others.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Jaime brings a rare combination of legal depth, local knowledge, and genuine accessibility that his clients — many of them expatriates navigating an unfamiliar legal system — consistently describe as the defining difference in their experience at COFFRE & COFFRE.
